The 8 hour drive from Tahoe was well worth the goods delivered by Snowbird and the snow gods. There was about a foot of fresh waiting for us in the morning, and it continued to snow lightly throughout the day.

For a group of Snowbird newbies, we got pretty lucky with the terrain openings. We just happened to unloading the Peruvian Express as the opened the tunnel to Mineral Basin and got a few laps of total fresh back there. We also happened to be getting on Little Cloud just as they were opening up Road to Provo in the afternoon and got more fresh snow “up to my balls”. Aside from the freshies, we had a lot of fun skiing long lines in the Peruvian Gulch and the trees under the Gad lifts.

Overall, we had a blast skiing until last chair and were very impressed with the great terrain. Until next time, Snowbird!
