Multi-million dollar investments improving and upgrading snowmaking seems to have been a theme at a lot of resorts this summer, and Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, CA is no exception.

In preparation for a 16th November opening day, the resort fired up their snow guns last week. They spent $1-million improving their snowmaking and are waiting for the temperatures to drop low enough, for long enough, to really crank them up and get some snow on the ground.
