Got to love the trickle-down process now that the holy XX1 Eagle drivetrainย has a more affordable younger sibling, the GX Eagle. ย The GX boasts the same single-ring system, with the exceptional 500%ย gear range on a similar 10-50 tooth cassette. ย It will cost youย $495, without a compatible bottom bracket andย XD driver bodyย (add $97 for the driver).
Although, the GXย is almost $800 less than the XX1, so it must have its “setbacks,” considerably cheaper materials that are less durable and a bit heftier than the XX1. ย Butย for all of us who aren’t counting every gram, could this be what does finally does the front derailleur in, like, say the 26 wheels we all knew? ย Watch the video and ย decide if you’re ready for the “Range to Realize”…
