According to J2Ski, the Hintertux glacier in Austria reported temperatures of 19ºF (-7ºC) at its summit yesterday. The Hintertux is one of four glacial ski areas in Europe still open to skiers.

The ski season in the northern hemisphere is just two months away, with Levi and Ruka in Finland both opening on October 6th.
