3-Feet of New Snow in the Alps Today | Photo Tour: A snowstorm came down hard on the European Alps yesterday. Today, they awoke to up to 3-feet of new snow in parts of Autsria and beyond. This early season storm is the result of the remains of hurricane Gonzalo. It pounded the alps yesterday with winds up to 90mph and snow levels as low as 2,500-feet. As you can see from these photos, certain parts of the alps got dumped on – mainly Austria. Snowboarder’s Body Found in Ice on Mt. Blanc, France After 2 Years The body of a Belgian snowboarder has been round on Mt. Blanc, France. He went missing over 2 years ago. Mountain climbers discovered the body very early on Saturday, September 6th, 2014 on the Dente de Geant (Giant’s Tooth) glacier at around 6,500 feet. VIDEO | Wingsuit Flying Over Skiers America is the land of the free, but in Europe you are free to fly your wingsuit over skiers. Who is more free? Who knows. But this is pretty much insane and a great way to get all the adrenaline junkies on the same page. Right around 1:40 one of the wingsuit pilots goes for, what I can only assume is the equivalent of a wingsuit hand drag!
