Top 10 Photos of New York’s 88-Inches of Lake-Effect Snow

As you most likely saw on the news, Buffalo and surrounding areas got rocked by as much as 7 feet of snow last week. Snow was coming down so fast and so heavy, over 140 motorists became stuck in their cars on I-90, stranded for over 30 hours on 132 miles of closed highway. Tragically, there have been 13 fatalities associated with the storm. Lake effect snow is a result of three combined factors: cold air; a large, warm lake; and heavy winds. 65″ of Lake-Effect Snow in New York Yesterday! | Photo Tour & Eyewitness Account:

All this snow fell in one day. Buffalo, NY yesterday

(editor’s note: this is an eye witness account from my brother who’s a badass truck driver and Afghanistan war veteran out of Ohio. He was in the big storm in New York that dropped up to 63″ of snow yesterday and this is his account.) Well, last night at about 1730-1800 I noticed a change of color on the road.
