Utah’s Snow Cover: This Year Vs. Last Year

Nearly the entire state of Utah is covered in snow right now. Basically, the 4 corners region of Utah and the Salt Lake itself are the only regions that are snow free right now. It’s been a decent early season in Utah this year. The reason that Utah is covered in snow isn’t due to large snowfall amounts, it’s really been about the cold. Powder Magazine Video = “Behind the Cover: October 2013”

Powder Magazine’s October 2013 issue comes out today. Sean Cochrane is on the cover ripping pow on a snow shed in B.C. To explain how they got the shot on the cover, Powder made this video.
