German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, Breaks Pelvis Cross-Country Skiing in Switzerland German chancellor Angela Merkel broke her pelvis while cross-country skiing in Engadin, Switzerland on her Christmas vacation. Her pelvis broke during a fall on her cross-country skis.
