2018 was Third Hottest Summer on Record in Colorado

Data just released by the National Climate Data Center is telling us that overall 2018 was the 3rd Warmest Summer on Record in Colorado (June-August). Some places in Western and Southwestern Colorado even had their warmest Summerโ€™s on record. (in red). The US as a whole tied for its fourth-hottest summer on record. Itโ€™s Official: Driest Jan-Mar in over 100 Years

Itโ€™s official, Tahoe City experienced the driest January through March on record.  Records have been kept since 1910.  That means we had the driest Jan-Mar in over 100 years.  Thatโ€™s hurtful. Not sure what else to say hereโ€ฆ

Driest Jan-Mar EVER Recorded in Tahoe City

  Average Precipitation (1980-2010) from Jan-Mar in Tahoe City:  16.30 inches 2013 Precipitation from Jan-Mar in Tahoe City:  2.42 inches Driest Jan-Mar in Tahoe City:  1976 = 3.62 inches And when we say โ€œeverโ€, we mean in over 100 years, which is significant.  But, it hasnโ€™t quite happened yet.  March isnโ€™t over and there is a storm on the horizon, [โ€ฆ]
