First Snow of the Year for Sierra Nevada, CA | Up to 6″ Above 8,000-Feet Tonight

The first snowfall of the 2014/15 is on its way this weekend in the Sierra Nevada, California. NOAA is forecasting snow above 8,000-feet on Friday night and Saturday. Up to 4″ is forecasted on Sonora Pass, CA. It ain’t much, but we’ll take it. What it really means is that winter is on it’s way. Tahoe ski resorts will be opening as early as November 22nd and Boreal likely even earlier. Lets do this. Low pressure will move across the Sierra Friday Night and into central Nevada by Saturday.
