Coronavirus panic at French ski resort: 11 British skiers quarantined

French Ski Resort Goes Under Water After Heavy Rains

Avoriaz ski resort in the French Alps just went partially underwater after a big week of rain and snowmelt filled a reservoir and drown a ski lift. The result of this rain has been the submergence of the Pas du Lac zone of the ski resort including the Tour chairlift. All this water can’t be good for the lift nor it’s terminal. Most of the important machinery is above the water line, so we’ll hope for the best. Before this flood this area of Avoriaz looked like the photo below.
