NOAA: Up to 22″ of Snow for Teton Range, Wyoming This Weekend

NOAA is has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Tetons in Wyoming this weekend. They’re saying that up to 22″ of new snow could fall by Saturday night. Game on in the Tetons. Grand Targhee ski resort will be opening tomorrow, November 21st, 2014, and they have a Winter Storm Watch in effect for Saturday that is forecast to drop 8-14″ of new snow. Grand Targhee | Conditions Report and Resort Rundown

With 5″ of new snow again last night it looks like Grand Targhee is still stacking up snow this season. A season total of 390″+ is as impressive as the incredible backside views of the Grand Teton that greeted us after a short traverse off the top of the Dreamcatcher high speed quad. Grand Targhee Big Mountain Telemark Competition | Full Report:

For the last 3 years, the Grand Targhee Big Mountain Tele-Comp has been hit by boat-loads of snow before and during the competition leaving feet of snow to cushion massive hucks, stomps, and violent tomahawks by the competitors.
