Big props to the Jackson Hole Tram, which helped us out with 4,139 feet of elevation gain in 12 minutes. From there, we hiked up above Headwall and dropped into Granite Canyon. I was a bit skeptical as we were hiking up because I saw how soft and melty the snow was getting the day before, but Granite Canyon seems to get some nice protection from the sun and the snow quality back there was amazing.
