#TBT VIDEO: Mike Wilson’s 100′ Double Backflip at Squaw 2011

Mike wilson double backflip squaw

Remember Mike Wilson? Double backflips off the Palisades in 2006? Double backflips off Glory Rock in 2011? Double backflips off The Kitchen Wall Cliffs in 2011? Double Backflips off The Fingers in 2011? Double backflips off just about anything he can find? I ran into Mike one day in 2006 and he said: “I’ve hit 3 jumps today and done 6 flips” Yeah, that guy. This video shows us a day in 2011 when Mike did a 100′ double backflip off The Fingers. I saw it in person and it was absolutely insane. He hit so hard that he wasn’t able to ski for a month after […]

Friday Fun: Mike Wilson’s Railslide + BASE Jump

Mike Wilson should move to Hollywood and become a stunt man. The things he does just aren’t possible for anyone but him. He somehow pulls off feats that make no sense to mortal man and he does it unscathed. One of his latest stunts was a Railslide BASE Jump. How you feasibly do that? We don’t know. You just have to watch the video. For their new movie, “Mutiny,” Stept Productions and skier Mike Wilson came up with a seemingly crazy concept: a handrail to ski BASE jump off of the Perrine bridge in Twin Falls, Idaho, one of America’s only bridges you can legally BASE jump off. Shout […]

Ready for Summer? | Mike Wilson Triple Backflips into the Truckee River, CA

This video symbolizes summer in the mountains.  Not that anyone in the world but Mike does over-the-top stunts like this and makes them look this easy, but we all like jumping into water.  Most of us enjoy the tame 15-foot cliff into a deep lake thing.  Mike enjoys the 60-foot high velocity rope-swing into 12 feet of water thing. When […]
