Tahoe = 5-12” on Ground & Still Snowing Hard! | Photo Tour:

A storm is raging in Lake Tahoe right now and has already dropped around 5” of new snow. 4-8” of snow were forecasted in the above 6,000 feet through Tuesday. We’ve already gotten up to 5” of snow in Tahoe at the lower elevations is some location in Tahoe and it’s not over yet. This morning, NOAA upped snow totals and added a Winter Weather Advisory saying that they were now expecting 6-10 inches of snow above 7,000 feet and 3-6 inches of snow at lake level. 6 Ski Resorts OPEN in North America This Weekend!

It’s only October and there are already 6 ski resorts open this weekend. Not bad. Well, there might be 6… Sunday River is going to make a game time decision tomorrow morning at 6:30am about wether they’ll be open or not tomorrow. Sunday River ski resort in Maine hopes to be open this Saturday (ie tomorrow). Jumbo Pass, B.C. Conditions Report Video | 26” on Oct. 13th

These guys really wanted it. It’s a big hike to get up to the snow at Jumbo Pass, B.C. right now and these boys were rewarded handsomely for putting in the effort. The allure of 65cms (26”) of fresh was just enough to validate the dry forest slog up and down the hill. Conditions up top looked pretty fun, especially for October 13th.
