We’ve still got 6 ski resorts rockin’ in North America this weekend and a few of them will have powder this weekend. Mammoth and Arapahoe Basin will both definitely have some pow laying around this weekend. California, Oregon, Colorado, Vermont, and Canada are still in the game. We’re down to our final 10 ski resorts in North America. Jay Peak, VT decided that they’ll not be opening again this weekend. “After 155 days of skiing and riding, we’re calling it for the 2014-2015 season, as summer begins to settle.” – Jay Peak This will be the last weekend for: Mt. A lot of ski areas on this list were dormant during the week but will be erupting to life this weekend with no holding back. Nearly every ski resort on this list will have live music, food, beer, bikinis, and good times this weekend. If you’re not completely over winter, and you’re a near one of these ski resorts, we strongly recommend getting a fun spring skiing costume together, an assortment of grill-able meats, and your favorite beverages of choice and getting yourself up to the hill. The 6 Ski Resorts Still OPEN in the Pacific Northwest:

The Pacific Northwest of the USA has only 5 ski resorts still open. It was a strange year up there, but these resorts are still kicking and there is still fun to be had. The higher elevation ski resorts such as Mt. Bachelor have well this year as they’ve been able to avoid lower elevation rains and hang onto the snow they have. Only a few weeks ago, the number of ski resorts open on the weekend was in the single digits. This week, there’s at least 50 ski resorts open in North America. Every zone in the nation now has at least a handful of big ski resorts open. It’s game time in North America. The ski season is now here. Colorado is still winning with the most ski resorts open in North America right now at 6. California now has 2 ski resorts open. The east coast has 4 and even the midwest has 2 ski resorts open now. Alberta Canada is also looking strong with 3 ski resorts open. Wow, there was a big jump to get open this weekend. Last weekend, there were only 6 ski resorts open in North America. This weekend, that number has nearly doubled. Canada has stepped up and gotten their first 2 ski resorts open as well. Pretty soon, there will be over 500 ski resorts open in North America. It’s all about Colorado this Fall. Arapahoe Basin & Loveland ski areas are open daily for the 2013/14 winter season. If you’ve got a season pass to one of these places, you’re certainly getting your money’s worth.
