NOAA: Only 27.3% of CONUS Is Covered With Snow | 3rd Lowest Ever Recorded for This Date

Despite yesterday’s Northeast snowfall event, just 27.3% of the lower 48 is covered with snow. This is the 3rd lowest for this date (February 14) since at least 2003, surpassing only 2015 (24.1%) and 2005 (23.4%). Compare this to this time last year when a record 73.2% of the CONUS was covered with snow.
