Shark Attacks Surfer in California & Takes Chuck Out of Surfboard A great white shark bit a large chunk out of a woman’s surfboard last weekend at Morro Strand State Beach near San Luis Obispo, CA. Elinor Dempsey was shook up but completely uninjured after her shark encounter on Saturday morning.
