NOAA: 2-6″ of Snow for Tahoe This Weekend There is snow forecast for Lake Tahoe this weekend. We know that sounds weird to put “snow” and “tahoe” in the same sentence without the word “no”, but we’re going for it. All the sources we could find are saying about 6″ of snow on the highest Tahoe peaks on Sunday and Monday. Lake Tahoe Storm Totals & Photo Tour | 26″ at Mt. Rose, NV Mt. Rose ski resort in Nevada was the big winner from this storm and it’s no surprise. Forecasts were saying that below 8,000-feet, this storm was going to drop only rain. Luckily, the storm ended up colder than forecasted and we got some snow all the way down to lake level yesterday. Then, temperatures rose and we got rain on top of that snow at lake level and higher… Mt. Up to 9″ of New Snow in Tahoe’s High Country This Morning | Photo Tour: Lake Tahoe’s high country picked up up to 9″ inches of snow last night in the 2nd storm of a three storm parade. The third storm was forecast to hit tonight and drop about 18″ of snow. Now, they’re saying more like 2″ of snow. The storm’s energy has been pushed north. NOAA: Winter Weather Advisory for Sierra Nevada, CA Today | New Snow = 5 Inches Last night, the Sierra Nevada mountain range in California received its first snowfall of the season.
