Park City, UT Pays $17.5 Million to Operate This Winter:

On Friday, September 5th, 2014 a Utah District Judge stated that Park City Mountain Resort (PCMR) would have to post a $17.5 million bond to operate the Park City ski resort during the 2014/15 winter season. If they don’t post this bond, they’d be evicted and would not be able to open the ski resort this winter. Yesterday, PCMR agreed to pay the $17.5 million to operate this winter. Judge Grants EVICTION of Park City by Talisker | Game Over.

At the end of a hearing over the Park City Mountain Resort (PCMR) eviction issue in Silver Summit’s 3rd District Court on Thursday, Judge Ryan Harris granted a requested by Talisker Land Holdings to evict PCMR. Talisker will legally able to evict PCMR on August 27th, 2014 if the judge signs the papers that day. PCMR has fought this whole thing toot and nail and they have lost. Goodbye PCMR, hello Vail. Vail Resorts Makes Surprise Offer to Buy Park City

The latest news in ongoing wranglings between Vail Resorts and PCMR, Vail Resorts has offered to buy Park City Resort’s base facilities.
