Taos Park: Update

It’s the morning of December 2nd.  By the time I make it over to Chair 7 at Taos it looks like the park crew guys are just finishing up the final details of the park.  Smoothing out the lips onto the rails, scraping off some of the new snow that had fallen, making sure seams on the boxes are flush and getting the jump line dialed in.  I heckled, “Hey guys, is the park going to open sooner than later? I thought you said it would be open by now?”  Frank replies, “of course man, we’re just finishing up now!” My plan is to get down to the park and get the first run in it.  Success! Frank drops the rope right as I ski up, impatiently waiting to dull my edges and play around in the newly born park.

Here are some photos of the park so far with some of Taos’ dedicated park crew getting things ready:

Short story even shorter- the park crew here kills it, the park is manicured, and there are a variety of creative and fun lines to be had for skiers and riders of all ability.
