The Teton County Search and Rescue Team just issued their 6-monthly rescue report, the mid-yearย review.ย The report is full of interesting data and statistics, including the details of every rescue they attended.
Interesting points to note: Winter 2019 had the least number of fatalities of the previous 5-years (3, compared to 8 in 2016), volunteers spent 5,885 hours on rescue related activities (including training events), and backcountry skiers/boarders made up almost two-thirds of all rescues.
