The Mothership Is Cleared for Take-Off | Palisades Tahoe, CA to Open Legendary KT-22 Today

SnowBrains |

The insane amount of snow last week already allowed crews at Palisades Tahoe, CA to announce the terrain that will be opening up this week. Today, we can add legendary KT-22 to that list.

A skier once told me, “If there was only one lift you could ride for the rest of your life, that would be KT.”

With 139″ of snow so far and a 46″ base, winter has finally arrived at Palisades Tahoe. KT-22 opened on 11th December in 2019/20, and on 8th December in 2018/19. But 2017/18 it didn’t open until January 27th, and in 2014 it was February 15th!

The past week has been a whirlwind with a huge Sierra storm that transformed our mountains, tons of work by our teams to dig out and set up the mountains, and some really fun skiing & riding.

After all that hard work, we are excited to announce that the Mothership (KT-22) has been added to the schedule tomorrow! To celebrate one of our favorite chairs’ opening, the first 22 people in line at KT will get a new Palisades Tahoe signature beanie.
