Mammoth Mountain, California, will host a screening of “The Paradise Paradox”, from Executive Producer Bodie Miller on Thursday, February 29, at the USFS Mammoth Welcome Center Auditorium. The special screening is presented by Mammoth Mountain Ski Patrol Alumni Association (MMSPAA) and Mono County Behavioral Health Presented in association with Eastside K9 and the Eastern Sierra Avalanche Center.
The documentary shines a light on the hidden mental health crisis afflicting America’s idyllic mountain towns, where suicide rates are higher than in the rest of the country. The movie was produced by former Olympic Gold medallist Bode Miller in association with Alterra Mountain Company. The thought-provoking movie features interviews with past and current athletes, such as Mikaela Shiffrin, and explores the innovative solutions being developed in response to the mental health crisis.
Reserve your spot through Eventbrite for free, donations are accepted and will help support the mission of the MMSPAA.
