The Race To Open | Arapahoe Basin Had A Surprisingly Good Night Of Snowmaking Last Night

Alan Henceroth reported that Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, CO had a surprisingly good night of snowmaking last night. The Wet Bulb temperature, which is an apparent type of temperature, hit 22 degrees Fahrenheit. The weather looks like it will be on a warming trend, but the resort was able to test out of all their equipment on High Noon. This will serve them well when the temps drop back below freezing this fall.

The extended forecast calls for a warming trend, but temperatures appear to be dropping as we approach early next week.
