Treble Cone, New Zealand has officially begun the season today, er… yesterday, or whatever day it is/was there on June 27th, 2013
The entire South Island of New Zealand went through a ferocious storm cycle that left over 10 feet of new snow at Mt. Hutt, NZย (a huge avalanche even damaged a lift here).
Many resorts had to close for nearly a week as they dug out and repaired facilities after the storm.
This brutish storm equated to great skiing and riding once the skies cleared over New Zealand. ย Australia is still waiting for theirs. ย Itโs still pretty dry over on the mainland.
Game time in NZ.
