Treble Cone, New Zealand has officially begun the season today, er… yesterday, or whatever day it is/was there on June 27th, 2013
The entire South Island of New Zealand went through a ferocious storm cycle that left over 10 feet of new snow at Mt. Hutt, NZ (a huge avalanche even damaged a lift here).
Many resorts had to close for nearly a week as they dug out and repaired facilities after the storm.
This brutish storm equated to great skiing and riding once the skies cleared over New Zealand. Australia is still waiting for theirs. It’s still pretty dry over on the mainland.
Game time in NZ.
