Utah Olympic Park to Host FIS Summer Grand Prix

The Utah Olympic Park will welcome the best international aerial skiers for the second competition of the inaugural FIS Freestyle Ski Summer Grand Prix today, August 26, 2023. The first competition in the series took place in Mettmenstetten in Switzerland last weekend, with Canadian Marion Thenaud winning the womenโ€™s division and American Chris Lillis taking third in the menโ€™s division.

The FIS Grand Prix will be run as part of the 2023 U.S. Freestyle Ultimate Airwave competition and will be free of charge. The competition will run from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with skiers fromย the U.S. Freestyle Aerials Team, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, China and Australian battling it out.

At the start from Team USA will be Quinn Dehlinger, Chris Lillis and Justin Schoenefeld from the menโ€™s team and we can expect to see Ashley Caldwell, Winter Vinecki and Dani Loeb from the womenโ€™s team.

You can expect to see an incredibly high level of competition with the worldโ€™s best athletes in attendance.ย American Freestyle skiers Ashley Caldwell, Christopher Lillis and Justin Schoenefeld won the the mixed team aerials competition at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Quinn Dehlinger won the 2023 World Championships.
