Adding to America’s successful wintersports weekend in FIS World Cup events is Freestyle skier Alex Hall, who won the Big Air event at Beijing, China, on Friday.
The American skier had qualified for the Final on Thursday, November 30, 2023, in first place, and carried his lead into the finals, winning with 182.00 points from his two best runs ahead of Canada’s Edouard Therriault and Switzerland’s Andri Ragettli.
The women’s event was won by Switzerland’s Mathilde Gremaud, putting the two in the yellow lead bib for the next event. Second place in the women’s went to UK’s Kirsty Muir and third to Italy’s Flora Tabanelli.
