Two bear cubs were pictured climbing up the ski lift tower at Wild Blue Gondola at Steamboat Ski Resort, Colorado. The footage was captured by Colorado local Sharon Spiegel and shared by Steamboat Radio and Denver 7 News on its social media channels. The radio station shared two movies, one of the bears climbing up the tower and one of them savely making it down again.
It appears the two cubs were part of a group of four cubs with a mamma bear not far away supervising the little bears’ shenanigans at Steamboat Ski Resort.
Bears are emerging from hibernation and are looking for food sources. Bear are naturally shy and wary of people. Bears are smart and will remember locations they have been able to obtain food. Colorado Parks and Wildlife advises to try to scare away bears so they maintain their natural fear of humans to avoid human-bear conflicts.
