VIDEO: Miles Clark’s 2017 Patagonia Season Edit

Miles Clark |

We had one helluva winter down at Cerro Catedral in Bariloche, Argentina this summer…  er winter.

We saw 33 powder days in a row from August 7th – September 8th and somewhere around 200% average annual snowfall.

The ski resort itself skied great and the nearby backcountry absolutely went off.

This video shows a couple of highlights from this especially snowy season in Bariloche.

One of the deepest, driest days of my life anywhere. August 22nd, 2017.  photo: snowbrains

In my 8 seasons in Bariloche, this was one of the top 2 seasons.  No doubt the best season since 2010.

It just wouldn’t stop snowing this year, until it did.  Once September 6th rolled around, we enjoyed springlike weather and finished the season off with fun corn and park laps.

I had too much fun this summer in Bariloche and I haven’t been that exhausted in a long time…  It simply would not stop.

Thanks to all my friends and family in Bariloche.  You guys make this place home for me.

  1. Congratulations for your selection of the skiing period there. I skied there two days twice in September – never saw snow in the lower half. Local told me the lower part is covered with snow usually only for a week in winter.
