The Last Good Powder Day at Squaw Valley | POV of Palisades & Granite Chief Peak

SnowBrains |

It’s been a while since we had a real powder day at Squaw Valley USA.  The last good powder day at Squaw was arguably March 21st, 2013.

Our friend Aaron Fox was there to document some of the good stuff that day and was kind enough to send us this video.  In this video you’ll see the Box, Smooth Air, & Tree Boys (Palisades & Granite Chief Peak).  3 fun lines.  It’s cool to see the skier’s perspective of what it like to execute these lines successfully.  Especially if you’ve marked these for completion in your Squallywood book.

It’s nearly summer now.  Time to recharge our batteries and heal up those knees.  Hopefully this video gave you one last taste of the fear and satisfaction of a Squaw Valley powder day.
