Trollhaugen will also hold their annual gear swap next week on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.

Trollhaugen is typically one of the first resorts in the U.S. to open for the season, and the resort expects to open on or around November 3, 2023, weather permitting. Last year Trollhaugen opened as early as October 19, 2022, so pray to Ullr for some early snowfalls.

The Troll snowfarmers have posted an update on their ‘stash’, which is covered in hay and protected with white tarp to minimize snow melt. Trollhaugen has been snowfarming for a while and the resort has been investing heavily in its snowmaking and lift infrastructure for an even better experience for its guest. The new variable speed 4-person chairlift at the Summit area is slated to open in 2023.
