Winter has not stopped up in Whistler.  We had a small weather break on Monday with the first sun in a long time, however the snow came back in and will continue through until the weekend.  Today we saw about 20cm of new snow overnight with a freezing level just above the Blackcomb Gondi.  This meant the snow was pretty good in the trees in the morning and really good in the alpine.  As the day progressed it started to warm up and things got a little heavy even up high.

In the morning the snow was still cold and not too many people were out.  As the day moved on and the alpine opened up we starting lapping Spankey’s and found a fun hit lap.  The snow was great in the upper bit of the lap, but as we got closer to the cat-track the snow became more and more heavy.  No matter what though it was awesome to see these conditions at the start of April.  With more snow on the way this month is looking to be really good.  Also, the World Ski and Snowboard Festival starts this weekend so remember to enjoy the festivities.
