For skiers and snowboarders not ready to put away their gear, Wild Mountain in Minnesota is offering one last chance to hit the slopes. The resort is hosting the Leftovers Spring Jam on Saturday, May 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., a hike-accessed terrain park on the Main Stage run.
With a limited 225 tickets available for $15 each, the Leftovers Spring Jam allows riders to hike up and ride down a setup of six to eight features constructed from the resort’s remaining snow piles. No lifts or tows will be running, making this a true hike park experience.
“We still had some good snow left, so we decided to have a little fun with it. It’s a way to get some final runs in and officially close out the season.”
– Resort spokesperson
The resort’s base lodge will be open with bathroom facilities, but no other services like food, lessons or rentals will be available. Riders are advised to bring water and sunscreen for the spring conditions.
While an unconventional setup, the Leftovers Spring Jam continues Wild Mountain’s tradition of finding creative ways to extend the ski season as long as possible for die-hard riders in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
Tickets must be purchased in advance online, as season passes will not be accepted for this special event. For more details and to secure a spot, visit https://shop.wildmountain.com/lifttickets.
