Fujiyama Snow Resort Yeti is famous for always recently being the first outdoor ski resort in Japan to open every season… albeit with 100% artificial snow. For the 2018-2019 season, one run was open from 19th October 2018. And it looks like they had a lot of fun making those first few turns too!

The resort is located on the southern foothills near Mount Fuji in Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture. On a clear day, some fine views of Mt. Fuji can be enjoyed from the slopes. The slopes of this resort actually go down from the main ‘base area’, so the top of the ski lifts are actually the base! Fujiyama Snow Resort Yeti is popular with people from the areas to the south of Mt Fuji and also well known for late night opening times… sometimes open ‘all night’.
Fujiyama Snow Resort Yeti is one of only two ski hills in Shizuoka Prefecture and has been operating since 1971. It was originally known as ‘Nihon Land Ski-jo’ and until 2018, it was known as ‘Snow Town Yeti’.
