Mt. Baker Conditions Report: Sunny Hot Laps

It’s been a beautiful fun and sunny week at Baker but we are ready for the storm heading our way! The “welcome back winter” week had more coverage than last season in February and got everyone ready for some heavy snowfall. The groomers are skiing great right now, Spring conditions aside, bust out the carving skis and shred. It was on the warm side this week with a 34″ base at Heather Meadows and 61″ at the base of Pan Dome but it helped soften up the slopes for some awesome afternoon riding!

It was a good week to get your ski legs back and see your winter family on the hill. All lifts are spinning and both lodges are in full winter operation mode. Its getting a little thinned out but with the inversion you just can’t escape it. However, the forecast shows a change coming next week!

Slashing berms for some Banked Slalom practice 11/29/15

Hopefully the toes are coming back to life after stuffing them in ski boots for the long weekend but its just in time for some fresh snow heading our way. And remember, its not even December yet!
