Sugar Bowl is currently building a chairlift to the top of Crow’s Nest Peak that will access solid freeride terrain. The new chair has been rumored about for years and will finally come to fruition in the coming winter.
A map showing the entire Crow’s Peak Chair was released for the first time today giving us all a better idea of exactly what we’ll be able to access with the new chair. Many freeriders have hiked and ridden the top of the Crow’s Nest area, but we’ve always had to cut back to the ski resort early. With the new chair, we’ll all be able to charge straight to the bottom and get in some good vertical and get a ton of laps in the Crow’s Next zone.
Well, what do you think? Is this new chair something you’re stoked about? It certainly will give us a reason to cruise over to Sugar Bowl this winter.
CROW’S CHAIR DETAILS:
– $3 million in costs
– Fixed grip triple chair
– 1,000 vertical feet
– Top of lift = 7,900 feet
– Will provide access to solid, fall-line, freeride terrain & double black diamonds
This is a good thing.
