Absolutely great freakin’ news from Northern California today.  This should help with our persistent 5 year drought.

Northwest California is actually completely free of drought right now.  Wow!

All of California north of San Franciso has seen considerable drought improvement this fall.  Great news.

“This water year has had the wettest start for the Northern Sierra in about 30 years, with twice the average precipitation for this date.

Keep in mind there are still the wettest months (on average) left to come, so it is not guaranteed this will end up being a wet year.” – NOAA, yesterday

Mt. Shasta is absolutely buried in snow due to all this early precip.  It’s been full-on, game on up there since early October.
