Three people were injured after trying to drive over Klausen Pass on Sunday. According to Swiss Info, two cars traveling up the pass were pushed off the road. Three people were airlifted with non life threatening injuries and a fourth was unharmed.
The avalanche released at 2pm around 6000ft almost near the summit of the pass. Unusual amounts of spring snowfall have caused many avalanches in the Swiss Alps. The police have since closed the pass for road maintenance and avalanche hazard.
