Both Eldora Mountain as well as Echo Mountain in Colorado have announced this morning that they will be unable to open today, March 15. While both resorts are doing their utmost to clear the infrastructure of snow, there has simply been too much to open. Snowfalls have also impacted roads and the Colorado Transport Authority (CDOT) has had its hands full clearing snow. Several roads in Colorado have experienced closures during the day, so please make sure you check CDOT’s website or download the COTrip Planner App.

9:00 AM update – Our crews continue to dig out, perform avalanche mitigation, and generally prepare roads/lots/lodges/lifts/slopes to receive guests again as soon as we possibly can. We still do not anticipate being able to open today, Friday, March 15. If that somehow happens to change, we’ll let you know here first.

In the meantime, the request from 5:30 AM remains: Please do not come to Eldora until we post an all-clear announcement. Until then, parking lots are closed, with no entry allowed. Additionally, please do not wait on the Shelf Road as that will interfere with County plowing operations and cause further delays.

Thanks again for your patience and understanding. This will be the last update of the day unless circumstances dictate additional updates.
— Eldora Mountain Resort

Please do not travel to Eldora or Echo until the resorts post announcements that they will open. Please do not wait on roads leading to resorts, hoping for an announcement as this interferes with CDOT and County plowing operations, causing further delays. Parking lots are closed, with no entry allowed.
