Resort brings back Idaho Free Day and discounted tickets for its season wrap on April 7

Tamarack Resort, Idaho, is celebrating the end of the ski season with the Idaho State Pond Skim Championship, day ticket discounts, and an invite for those with season passes to any Idaho ski area to come ski for free leading up to closing day on April 7.

Tamarack’s popular “Idaho Free Day” returns, providing a free, one-day lift ticket to season passholders from any other Idaho ski area. Between March 25 and the closing day on April 7, skiers and boarders can bring their season pass from the 2023/24 or 2024/25 season to Tamarack Outfitters in The Village to receive one lift ticket per passholder.

No season pass? No problem. Day tickets pre-purchased online between March 25 and April 7 will be $15 for midweek and $30 for weekends, while buying at the ticket desk will be $30 for midweek and $60 for weekends.

The annual Idaho State Pond Skim Championship will be held on April 6. Skiers and boarders strap on their gear, don costumes and attempt to cross a freezing-cold pond without wiping out. Prizes are awarded for Best Overall Performance, Best Costume, and Best Crash. For more information and to register, visit the Tamarack Events page.

On April 7, the fun is extended with live music on the snow front from 1 to 3 p.m. and extended lift hours until 6 p.m. to close out the season.

Idaho resident discounts are available for those wanting to stay and play, and all those booking vacation rentals from March 25 through April 7 will receive free day tickets for their stay.
