It’s been quite a week of storminess at Alta. The snow is piling up but with the winds our snowpack has become quite sketchy. Backside slid big a few days ago and Alta Ski Patrol is seeing results all over. Backside and the Shoulder had no chance of opening today.
But the High Traverse and Supreme Bowl were firing on all cylinders. We found smooth fast snow from top to bottom. We skied Regal Chute Eagle’s Nest Garbage Chute and the Spiny Chutes. All were fabulous late into the afternoon.
