Alyeska, AK Received 3 Feet of Snow over New Year | Season Total now 222″ with 83″ Base

If you’re missing winter (and let’s face it, the majority of us in North America are), then to satisfy your powder fix you’ll need to head north to Alyeska, AK where they’ve already had 222″ of snowfall so far this season and boast a ridiculous base of 83″.

Several fronts hit Alaska in December and brought fresh snow to the resort, meaning they’re making up for a below average start to the winter and are opening new terrain daily.

‘We got a nice New Years present over the last 72 hours with 2-3 feet of snow pushing us up to 81 inches of snow under foot and over 216 for the season to date’ claimed a patroller a couple of days ago.

And with more snow forecast for the next few days, there’s no better time to head north for the weekend and find some fresh lines. Day or night.
