At the end of last ski season, Arapahoe Basin in Colorado offered a free ski-in ski-out vaccination clinic. For a couple of days, skiers and snowboarders were able to ride into a tent located at A-Basin’s base area, get their COVID-19 vaccination, and in return, receive a free drink from the ski area. Apparently, Arapahoe Basin found the project to be such a huge success that now, in October 2021, they are offering the same deal again to their riders.
According to Arapahoe Basin’s website:
“The Colorado Deptartment of Public Health (CDPHE) will have its vaccination mobile unit at Arapahoe Basin on October 29 and 30 from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. The bus will administer both [Johnson & Johnson] single-shot vaccinations and boosters (18+) as well as first, second, or booster shots of Pfizer (12+) and Moderna.”
Arapahoe Basin is requiring that participants wait for fifteen minutes after receiving their shot to ensure that they do not have any adverse reactions. However, after the short waiting period, vaccinated participants can present their vaccine card, I.D., and free drink token to redeem a beverage of their choice at the base area’s 6th Alley Bar & Grill. Then right back to riding!
We are doing it again! Join us October 29 – 30 for a Vaccination Clinic. Everyone who gets a COVID-19 vaccine on either day will receive a FREE bloody Mary, draft beer, or soda from the 6th Alley Bar & Grill. https://t.co/7vSKPSY2bL pic.twitter.com/7n0XF73EWt
