Born in New Jersey, Jason Givens has been traveling the world looking for adventure, first as a surf bum and now as an aspiring ski bum. After graduating Stockton University with a BA in Economics his travels took him to Hawaii, where he attended UH Manoa and received a Certification in Secondary Education. He spent 13 years surfing the 7 mile miracle then moved to Northern California with his amazing wife and has two wonderful boys. When not thinking about skiing powder, Jason spends his time sharing his love for all things outdoors with his boys, feeding chickens, puttering around in the garden, writing, and waiting for winter.

Plane Crash Near Loveland Ski Area, CO: A Tragedy Remembered

As October rolls around, we remember one of Colorado’s worst plane crash tragedies. On October 2, 1970, near Loveland Ski Area, a Martin 4-0-4 airliner loaded with the Wichita State University football team crashed, carrying 37 passengers and three crew.
