Avalanche Claims The Life Of A Snowmobiler In Wyoming Over The Weekend | Sadly the Group Weren’t Carrying any Avalanche Gear

According to Jackson Hole News & Guide, a snowmobiler was killed by an avalanche near Mt. Leidy, WY on Sunday. At 4:10pm, friends of the victim called police to inform them that they saw their riding partner get buried by an avalanche.

After the slide occurred, one friend stayed to dig the victim out, while the other rode 30 minutes to find cell service to call for help. Sadly, the men didn’t have any avalanche gear with them. At 7:00pm on Sunday Night, Search & Rescues crews were still on scene recovering the 24-year-old Minnesota man.
