Thisย winter,ย Big Sky Resort, MT invites guests to become carbon-neutral travelers.ย Guestsย canย calculate the impact ofย theirย trip to Big Skyย and offsetย theย carbonย emissionsย created byย travel.

โ€œProviding skiers with anย opportunity to offset their tripย aligns with ourย sustainability goals at the resort.ย Thisย is anย environmental action that reaches even beyond our operations. While resort-wide carbon neutrality remains the primary goal,ย theย offset calculatorย isย an additional toolย that allowsย guests toย join us inย our pursuitย ofย sustainability.โ€

– Troy Nedved, Big Sky Resortโ€™sย general manager

Big Sky Resort has partnered withย Tradewaterย to offer an easy-to-use calculator so that guests can offset their travel to Big Sky with high-impact carbon offsets.ย Tradewaterย collects and destroys oldย refrigerantsย that are 10,900 times more potent than carbon dioxide.

โ€œManaging and destroying refrigerants is an essential strategy for fighting climate change. This partnership gives Big Sky skiers the opportunity toย help collect and destroyย some of the most potentย greenhouse gasesย that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere.โ€

– Tim Brown, CEO ofย Tradewater

By 2030, Big Sky Resortโ€™s sustainability initiative, The Big Picture, aims to cut its entire atmospheric impact by operating with net-zero carbon emissions.ย ย
