9,624′ Sonora pass holds some of the best spring backcountry skiing and riding in North America and it will be open today at 2pm with fresh snow!
Sonora Pass was scheduled to open at noon on Saturday.  Then an unusual June snowstorm rolled in and they pushed back that opening to Monday.  As of yesterday the storm had dropped 3-6″ of snow on Sonora Pass and the opening was delayed another day.
There just might be some powder turns up there today…  Just sayin’…

After this weekend’s storm, Caltrans District 10 has completed the latest clean up and is scheduled to open Sonora Pass/State Route 108 today (Tuesday, June 13) at 2:00 P.M.
