The best present is Powder. And sharing it with your best friends and family of course.

The storm cam in over the weekend on and off. With a beautiful and frigid bluebird day on Sunday uncertainty was in the air, but as the Christmas Eve bonfires burned in the backyard, The precipitation began spitting fine cristals at an exorbitant rate.

Waking up to 8″ of fresh trumps the presents under the tree. We rallied up to the mountain with the parade of early risers and the Christmas cheer was in the air! Families and children excited to go out and play together in the winter wonderland. But th4 crowd was mellow and we explored untracked runs throughout the day.

Powder days are for powder boards. Leave the skinny sticks behind and find the glide above the knee deep depths. This is the modality being explored by Elevated SurfCraft in search of the simplest flow and greatest Stoke! Today’s pick is the 5’0 Red Tail Hawk.

Mary’s in the Mist- The fog was thick near the top of the mountain and visibility was at moments completely nonexistent – even with our best low light lens- and we rode by faith. The best option seemed to be escaping the big wide opens and searching for the contrasting trees, so a short walk through the woods brought us up Mary’s, just shy of the Nipple, we dropped through the forest, staying close and hollering for placement and extatic joy!

The forecast is promising through the next week, so get your powder sticks out because winter is on.
